நீங்க ரே ஸ்மித்துக்கு கோயில் கட்டி கும்பிட்டுக் கொண்டு இருப்பது போலெல்லாம் நான் கிடையாது. ”சாது” வானாலும் குற்றம் குற்றமே என்று சொல்லும் தைரியம் எனக்கு இருக்கிறது. அடுத்த முறை அவர் கோயம்புத்தூர் வந்தால், உங்க சிஷ்யை கோல்டா நீங்க சொல்றதையெல்லாம் நல்லா கேட்பார்கள் போல என்று சொல்லிப் பாருங்க. என் பெயர் ஞாபகம் இருந்தால்(இருக்கும்!) நக்கலா சிரிக்க வேண்டுமானால் செய்வார். அந்தளவிற்கு criticise பண்ணிதான் mail அனுப்பியிருக்கேன்.

God, Debt ,Partners and a Dance Master

Greetings!

You were saying in the recent Ninaithu Parkiren (repeat telecast) that people do not mind borrowing money for building their house or buying a car or for medical expenses. But they hesitate to borrow money for God’s work. You were speaking as if borrowing money is something good. It is not. All those that borrow money, worry a lot about repaying the amount. Don’t you know that many families are disgraced and destroyed because of debt?

You said a pastor borrowed on credit card and gave money to your ministry and God blessed him in an unexpected manner. That is an exception, not a rule. Whenever we do anything in obedience to God, God will bless us.

You say that you have a policy of not borrowing money. But it seems you want others to borrow money and give it to you. I cannot understand the logic behind that. You said, you do not borrow, because you do not have a fixed, regular income. Is anything stable and consistent than God? You give the impression that having a job is better than having God.

One minister said this – do not borrow for anything. If you borrow, at least ensure that you get an item – say a house or a car - which you can always sell and pay back the debt, in case you cannot repay. Do not borrow for things like marriage expenses or foreign tour. He said God won’t rapture people with debt. This type of teaching is correct, imo.

You were saying that you once borrowed money for Sun DTH, but Angel TV viewers didn’t help you with offerings to pay back the money. Do you depend that much on people to run Angel TV?? If God asked you to borrow that money, He definitely would have helped you, inspired people to give you money just as He helped that pastor. May be you acted(borrowed) on your flesh. Or may be God was testing how you would react when He withholds finances. I would say you failed the test by complaining about people.

Blaming Angel TV viewers/Angel TV partners shows that you are not actually depending on God for finance. Running a TV channel is not an easy task. It requires lots of money. That requires a lot of faith.That’s why you were given special training in Tibet and Nepal for 20 plus years to learn to depend on God for your small and big needs.

Once David counted his military men and God didn’t like it. Likewise, do not count the Angel TV partners. God doesn’t operate on numbers. Israelites defeated their enemies, not because they were numerous, but because God was with them. Once Jesus blessed the crowd with just 5 loaves and 2 fishes. Our strength is not in numbers, but in God.

Not preaching to you, but I was really a bit shocked to see your support for borrowing money and your blaming of Angel TV viewers.

In the Sunday manasu vittu, the interview was with a tamil cinema dance director. Has God added cine songs and dance to the "good things" list for a christian? I do not blame that person, may be he is spritually a baby and growing and I also feel he is wrongly guided by his spiritual leaders(he named and claimed a car).But telecasting such testimonies in no way will help the people to get ready for second coming!

This is an excellent article on the state of today's churches and today's christians like that dance master.

Once Jesus Calls magazine happily published the testimony of Harris Jeyaraj, a tamil cinema music director.They said he was a Jesus Calls young partner and God has blessed him to do well in his profession.

But AR Rahmans's God gave him 2 oscars! What do you think about that?
